First, make sure you are prepared for the second part of the test tomorrow. Once again, the part tomorrow is entirely problem/math-based.
Second, as a culminating project in Chem II, you will be working with a partner and will present a chemical demonstration to the class. Guidelines for the project can be found below (due dates are not yet adjusted for this year though). For today, go online and look at some videos of some demonstrations and find a few you would be interested in performing. Submit a word document describing what projects/demos you wish to do (you may include a link to videos showing the demonstrations, but also include a short description of them in your words). Include safety hazards associated with the demonstration, what is done about them, and what chemicals or unusual material may be needed that I may not have readily available. Include at least 2 possible demos on your page. You and a partner will then compare your lists and select one to present to the class.
Get with your lab partner (text, phone call, email, google doc, etc.) and decide upon a demonstration that you would be interested in preparing for the class together. Share with me a single google doc from the lab partners that includes the following:
Partner Names, Title of Demonstration, Chemicals and Equipment needed (Don't worry about typical lab equipment...this would be for any random equipment that either we don't have in the lab or your not sure if we have), Safety Hazards and what to do about them, and a Summary of the Chemistry/Science behind the demonstration (Why does it work?). Also, if you have found a video online, include a link to that video.
