Objective: Students will show their understanding of indirect characterization (RL.3).
1. Students will complete the RL.3 assessment on the testing browser on Otus.
2. We will go over the MAP scores students achieved last spring and talk about the purpose for us taking the MAP test next week. The key to doing well on any standardized assessment is slowing down and taking your time. This assessment is a DIAGNOSTIC. It is meant to diagnose your strengths and weaknesses. If you rush through the assessment, those can't be diagnosed.
3. When students are finished, they should work on reading through the end of Chapter Five (pg. 55) for block day next week. On block day, we are going to have our first fishbowl discussion of the year.
FOLLOW-UP: Read through page 55 for block day next week. We will take the MAP assessment next Monday and Tuesday. Anyone needing to finish will be able to do so during a study hall or AA.
